Fully Interactive & Hands-On

Every show is fully interactive. We don’t just talk about the animals — we invite the audience to see, touch, and (when appropriate) hold them. For smaller groups, hands-on time happens throughout the presentation. For larger audiences, we save dedicated time at the end so everyone gets a close-up look and a chance to engage.

We encourage grown-ups to join in too. Reptiles are fascinating for ages 5 to 105, and many people leave surprised by how calm and gentle these animals can be when handled properly.

More Than a Show — A Story and Real Education

In the middle of every show, when we bring out our ball python Rose, we share a special story. Rose was Emily’s very first ball python. We’ve had her for many years, and she represents the true beginning of Expedition Reptile.

Emily’s passion for shedding fears started when she was a very young girl. She loved little critters and reptiles and spent her summers outside putting on shows for the neighborhood kids. That early love and determination became the foundation of everything we do today.

All these years later, that same passion has turned us into reptile ambassadors. Our slogan remains the same: Shedding fears.

We introduce upwards of 15 reptiles, one by one, sharing interesting facts about their habitats, lifespans, diets, defense strategies, and unique behaviors. We start with smaller, approachable snakes and lizards and build toward our grand finale — a 35+ pound boa constrictor named Cuddles.

The result is an entertaining presentation packed with real knowledge that leaves audiences with a deeper appreciation (and far less fear) of these often-misunderstood animals.
